By downloading, installing, or using the Steward application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

During our beta period, we may offer extended free access to paid features. Any such offers will be communicated clearly and are subject to change.
You agree to use Steward only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Steward, including donor information, volunteer records, and grant details. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and use your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate consent from individuals (donors, volunteers) whose personal information you enter into the Service.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that data will never be lost. We recommend maintaining your own backups of critical data.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
The Steward application, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Decker Customs and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.
Steward integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), and Resend (email). Your use of these services through Steward is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
We are not responsible for any errors in automated emails sent on your behalf, missed notifications, or any decisions made based on data stored in Steward.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decker Customs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of donors.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Decker Customs and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in behavior harmful to other users or the Service.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@stewardorg.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
